Earlier this month, Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich appeared on Comedy Central's
"The Daily Show"
, defending his position that the state can require pharmacists to dispense the "morning after" pill.
But today, Blagojevich
admits
he didn't know "The Daily Show" was a joke. He thought it was a legit news program, and he took it seriously.
If you watch the
clip of Blago
, he actually comes off as intelligent and articulate -- not as the brunt of a joke. But it's funny to watch knowing he thought he was conducting a serious interview with a news program.
At one point, he turns to the crew and, referring to the interviewer, asks, "Is he teasing me, or is that legit?"
