But Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue has landed a role in a major film production.

The governor played the role of an East Carolina football coach whose team played Marshall University just a few hours before the 1970 plane crash that claimed the lives of 75 Marshall football players, coaches, staff and other team supporters.

Next up for Perdue: A road-trip buddy comedy with Kenny Guinn.
