The DC Metro
has announced it will allow riders to bring their
Segways on subway trains (b
segway-1.jpg ut not on buses). Although the Metro Authority had previously outlawed bringing the transporters into the subway system, citizens pressured Metro to drop the ban.
The
Segway policy will be similar to Metro's policy on bikes, meaning riders are free to bring
Segways on trains, except during rush hour. And no riding them once inside metro stations. The official
policy will be effective in August.
This'll be really convenient for those times when you're running late for a
game!
