But the Garden State might actually get the last laugh. According to a new survey, the state ranks fifth in the nation for livability. The study cited excellent schools, a great student-teacher ratio, high per-capita spending on the arts and relatively low crime rates among the reasons the state's such a nice place to live.
And what about NJ's neighbors? Well, Pennsylvania ranked 30th and New York scored 32nd.
So be proud, New Jerseyans. Just don't let it go to your head -- your hair's already big enough.
