You got ideas? The White House wants to hear them.

Remember that Memorandum on Transparency and Open Government President Obama issued in January? Well, the president now wants to hear about how his administration should consider carrying out its openness promise.

The National Academy of Public Adminstrationhas a site where you can submit ideas, refine others' ideas and vote the best ones up. NAPA is looking for specific project suggestions and good examples and stories relating to law, policy, technology, culture or practice.

Compelling contributions will be the basis for further discussion and, at some point, a wiki will be created for drafting language for the recommendations together. Go to the Web site to read some questions to consider when formulating your ideas.

Gentlemen and gentlewomen, start your engines. The brainstorming session started May 21 and will end on the 28th. From everything we've seen about this administration, the one thing it doesn't do is dilly dally.
