The Justice Department's Public Integrity Section tracks public corruption convictions for each of its districts throughout the country. Governing compiled state totals from 2001 to 2010, the most recent available data.
Totals represent convictions for those working in all levels of government, along with private citizens involved in corruption cases. For further information on the data and caveats regarding what is not considered, please refer to this blog post on the numbers.
