Ryan Donahue is a researcher, consultant and project analyst with the Brookings Institution's Metropolitan Policy Program. He has worked in more than 25 metro areas and states on research and strategy projects related to inclusive growth, global trade and investment, industry cluster development, and innovation and technology commercialization. He has co-authored numerous reports designed to highlight emerging practices and help economic-development practitioners adopt new approaches, including, most recently, "Committing to Inclusive Growth: Lessons for Metro Areas from the Inclusive Economic Development Lab."

Prior to joining Brookings, Donahue was a research director at the Trust for Public Land. He holds a bachelor's degree in international political economy and French from the University of Puget Sound.
