Judith Kurland is Chief of Programs and Partnerships under Boston Mayor Thomas Menino. As Chief of Staff to Mayor Menino, she has worked to address the multitude of needs of Boston’s residents and communities. Previously, Kurland was the Regional Director of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and was the only woman to serve as commissioner of the Department of Health and Hospitals for Boston. She was also Vice President of New England Medical Center and Legislative Director for former U.S. House Speaker Thomas P. "Tip" O’Neil.
