Jim Emerman 
<p>Jim Emerman, executive vice president of <a href="http://www.encore.org/">Civic Ventures</a>, previously directed the organization's Purpose Prize. For 17 years prior to joining Civic Ventures, he worked at the American Society on Aging, where he served as chief operating officer. Prior to ASA, he held positions at the University of California-Los Angeles and the University of California-Berkeley.</p>
