Jim Balfanz 
Jim Balfanz, president of City Year, began his work with the organization in 1993 as a corps member. After his corps year, he joined the City Year staff and became the first corps alumnus to become a City Year vice president. He became the program's chief operating officer in 2005, and founded City Year Greater Philadelphia.
