Elaine Weiss is the national coordinator of the Broader Bolder Approach to Education, where she works to promote comprehensive, evidence-based education policies. Major publications for BBA include a year-long series of commentaries for Bill Moyers, co-authored with educators, on the intersections of poverty and education, and the reports Market-Oriented Reforms' Rhetoric Trumps Reality and Mismatches in Race to the Top Limit Educational Improvement.
An attorney and policy analyst, Weiss is a cum laude graduate of the Harvard Law School and received her Ph.D. in public policy from George Washington University.
