Carolyn Laine, a Democrat, is serving her fifth term in the Minnesota House of Representatives and is a member of the Minnesota Child Custody Dialogue Group. She previously served on the Columbia Heights, Minn., school board for 10 years.
Laine received her bachelor's degree in education from the University of Minnesota at Duluth, holds a master's degree in psychology and is working toward a Ph.D. in psychology.
