Florida Gov. Rick Scott has been tapped as the national chairman of the super PAC dedicated to electing Donald Trump as president.

“It’s time for us to fire the politicians. That’s what this election is all about, and that’s why I am excited to chair the Rebuilding America Now Super PAC to help Donald Trump,” Scott said in a press release.

Scott, a multi-millionaire who self-funded his first 2010 campaign and then became a prodigious fundraiser for his reelection four years later, has long admired Trump but stopped just short of endorsing him before his big March 15 Florida primary win. After that, Scott called on fellow Republicans to unite behind their eventual nominee.
