Most Walkable Cities Map

The following map shows where people are walking to work in the 300 largest U.S. cities based on 2012 Census estimates.

Larger icons represent cities where walkers account for higher shares of all commuters. Please note the Census Bureau only counts the means of transportation for a person's longest distance traveled, so those walking to transit stations count as public transportation commuters.
