Green cities saw increases, red cities declined and yellow markers represent no estimated change over the five-year period.

Click a marker to display data for each Census-designated place. The Census Bureau's survey records a single transportation type for a person's longest distance traveled, so workers biking to subways only count as public transportation commuters.
