Joyce Coffee


Joyce Coffee is the founder and president of Chicago-based Climate Resilience Consulting. She has over 20 years of domestic and international experience applying resilience strategies, management systems and performance measurement to issues relating to climate change.

Over her career, Coffee has worked on projects for the United States Agency for International Development's US-Asia Environment Partnership and the World Bank; led the Chicago Climate Action Plan; created corporate social responsibility plans and reports for Fortune 500 companies; and run a global nonprofit, the Notre Dame Global Adaptation Initiative. She is senior sustainability fellow at the Global Institute of Sustainability.

Coffee received her B.S. in biology, environmental studies and Asian studies from Tufts University and her master's degree in city planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She is the author of the Climate Adaptation Exchange Blog.
