Costas Panagopoulos, professor and chair of the political science department at Northeastern University, served as co-chair of the Massachusetts Citizens Commission, which examined issues relating to the influence of money in elections. He came to Northeastern from Fordham University, where he was a professor in the political science department, director and founder of the Center for Electoral Politics and Democracy and the graduate program in elections and campaign management, and an adjunct professor of quantitative methods at Columbia University. He also is the former editor-in-chief of Campaigns & Elections magazine.
