There are a lot of stupid laws on the books, and we keep adding to them all the time, even when our state is falling down around us.
Illinois state Rep. Jack Franks, who jokingly proposed a law to require legislators to eliminate two laws for every one they pass. His tirade was brought on by the consideration of a bill cracking down on people who steal plastic stackable milk crates from behind grocery stores.
