Shaun Snyder is the executive director of the National Association of State Treasurers (NAST) and the NAST Foundation. Before joining NAST, he served as the chief operating officer of the American Psychiatric Association. Previously, he served as the chief operating officer of the Washington, D.C., Department of Health and as special assistant to the general counsel of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Snyder received his law degree from the Georgetown University Law Center, his MBA from George Washington University and his undergraduate degree in government and politics from the University of Maryland. He also holds a Certified Association Executive designation from the American Society of Association Executives.
