Kristen Nyman is a research fellow at the R Street Institute, where she serves on the National Security and Cybersecurity team, focusing on issues including election security infrastructure, the Internet of Things, and data privacy and security. Before joining R Street, she served as a legislative assistant to U.S. Rep. Rod Blum of Iowa; earlier, she worked as a Florida House legislative assistant.
Nyman holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations and political science from Florida International University and received her master’s degree in security studies from George Washington University.
