Jerome Deichert is director of the Center for Public Affairs Research at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Deichert and colleagues in the UNO College of Public Affairs and Community Service have worked with the Nebraska legislature's Planning Committee to develop and annually update a planning database and, based on issues identified from the database, develop a series of policy briefs.
Among his other research interests, Deichert has explored the characteristics of the direct-care work force by analyzing secondary data from the U.S. Census Bureau. Along with colleagues in the UNO Gerontology Department, he is a member of the Elder Care Workforce Research Triangle.
Deichert has a master's degree in economics from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.
