James S. Oddo was elected in 2013 as the president of the New York City borough of Staten Island. He served on the New York City Council from 1999 to 2013 and was the council's minority leader from 2002 to 2013.

A Staten Island native, Oddo holds a bachelor's degree from Fordham University and a law degree from New York Law School.
