Duncan Wood is the director of the Mexico Institute at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. He is co-chair of the World Economic Forum's Global Future Council on Transparency and Anti-Corruption, has worked closely with the WEF on energy policy, and is a member of the editorial board of Foreign Affairs Latinoamerica. From 1996 to 2012 he was a professor and the director of the International Relations Program at the Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico in Mexico City. The author of 12 books, he received his Ph.D. in political studies from Queens University in Canada and is a recipient of the Canadian Governor General’s Visit Award for contributions to the Mexico-Canada relationship.
