A preliminary autopsy report indicates Mayor Greg Fisk died of natural causes Monday, the Juneau Police Department said Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, Fisk's injuries are "consistent with an injury due to falling or stumbling into objects." Police do not suspect a crime.

A final autopsy report could take two to eight weeks, police said.

Fisk was found dead in his Juneau home Monday afternoon by his son Ian Fisk. Fisk won election last month as mayor, ousting incumbent Merrill Sanford by a 2-1 ratio.
