The most recent star of ABC's "The Bachelor" might just be looking for love from Colorado voters this year. Ben Higgins, who gave his final rose to flight attendant Lauren Bushnell on the season finale of "The Bachelor's" 20th season in March, is eyeing a seat in the Colorado House of Representatives.
Higgins, 28, who hails from Indiana but lives in Denver, confirmed with that he's considering a run as a Republican candidate in the 4th District. The party is hoping Higgins name recognition and popularity will help him unseat Democratic representative , who was arrested for suspicion of DUI in March.
Republicans have already nominated Willie Pinkston to run against Pabon, but Pinkston has stated he would step aside if Higgins were to run. Said Higgins in a statement to the Colorado Independent:
"Whatever lies ahead, love, grace, and hope are ideals that guide my life. I will take them with me into my next adventure," he said. "Lauren and I aren't sure yet what that will be, but in terms of representing House District 4, Willie Pinkston is an amazing person and any decision I make regarding entering the race will be based on what is best for Willie, his family and for Lauren and me."
He sounds like a politician already. I'd be surprised if he doesn't run.
