Haley has endorsed and campaigned for Romney, but she told The Associated Press in a phone interview Tuesday that she intends to complete her four-year-term as governor.
Haley said, "If offered any position by Gov. Romney, I would say no."
She added, "The people of South Carolina gave me a chance. I have a job to do and I'm not going to leave my job for anything."
Haley was elected in 2010 with heavy tea party support. She made history when she became the state's first female and minority governor. Haley is promoting a new book that she hopes will encourage more people, especially women, to seek higher office.
