LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Passengers flying into Little Rock, Ark. could soon be arriving at the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport.

The Little Rock Municipal Airport Commission will discuss and possibly vote Tuesday on a measure to change the name of the Little Rock National Airport to honor of the 42nd president and the current secretary of state.

The airport adopted its current name in 1995 and serves approximately 2.2 million passengers a year.

An airport spokesman said the renaming proposal was presented in December and has been vetted through public comment periods and that feedback has been mixed.

The spokesman says there will be a public comment period prior to the vote.
