These may not be new to anyone else, but I was amused the other day at a presentation given by Bill Brier of the Edison Electric Institute, when he expounded on the vocabulary of NIMBYism in talking about the difficulty of building new generating plants.

"We've all heard of NIMBY," Brier said. "Now, we have BANANA -- build absolutely nothing anywhere near anyone. And NOPE -- not on planet earth."
