What do you get when you cross the plumbers' union with flushless toilets? A political disaster, if you're Philadelphia.

The city, it seems, has been bragging about the green credentials of a new 57-story skyscraper that's currently under construction downtown. Part of the boast is the flushless urinals planned for the building, which are expected to save 1.6 million gallons of water a year.

Not so fast, says the plumber's union. Less flushing means less work for professional plumbers. According to the AP, the union has expressed its opposition to city officials, whose approval of the toilets is still pending.

Who says labor unions make Philly a tough town to do business?
