Pittsburgh: Romantic, Yes. But Zombie-Proof, Too

It is, at least according to one resident who entered Mayor Luke Ravenstahl's contest to create a Valentine to the city of Pittsburgh.  Ravenstahl wanted residents to submit "unique, exciting, romantic or unusual" reasons they love the city.

Antoinette Davis, 21, offered this entry:

"Our city is adequately prepared, aware and ready in case of a zombie invasion."

Sweet! Sadly, however, Davis wasn't one of the top 10 contest winners, who all got to have lunch with the mayor.

Still, we salute Antoinette Davis. Zombie preparedness is an oft-overlooked aspect of municipal governance -- and Valentine's Day.
