Yesterday, his answer was even more emphatic: "Which letter in the word 'no' do you not understand?"

Meanwhile, a new poll shows strong numbers for another NY mayor, Rudy Giuliani (remember him??). In the CNN/Gallup/USA Today poll, Giuliani was the top-ranked candidate -- at 33 percent -- among registered Republican voters.

Of course, Giuliani hasn't said he's running. But unlike Bloomberg, he hasn't emphatically said he's not.
