Governor Pete Ricketts' plan to begin executions again in Nebraska hit a road block when state senators abolished the death penalty.

 

Still, the governor pressed on, saying in a post-legislative session interview, "we're going to move forward carrying out the executions for the ten inmates that have that penalty."

 

The feds say not so fast.

 

On Saturday, the Food and Drug Administration sent KETV NewsWatch 7 a statement regarding Nebraska's purchase of sodium thiopental from HarrisPharma -- a drug supplier in India.
