A group that calls itself the Middle East Cyber Army hacked into the state Department of Weights and Measures website over the weekend, the second known attack on an Arizona site.

MECA also hacked into the site of Art and Sol, a Scottsdale-based group that produces children's musical performances.

Weights and Measures Director Andy Tobin said his agency has not found any evidence that sensitive data was lost, and the site has been shut down since the hack on Sunday. The agency, which licenses vehicles for hire and checks various meters and scales for accuracy, among other things, has a backup system that has protected any ongoing business files, Tobin said.

The agency is still unclear about how MECA got into the site, Tobin said.
