In a victory for anyone who gets annoyed seeing rotting jack-o-lanterns on Christmas Eve or wilting Easter bunnies at Memorial Day, Aurora, Il., has
passed an ordinance making it illegal to leave your holiday decorations up too long.
The new measure requires outdoor holiday decorations to be taken down 60 days after the holiday. And -- in a blow to Christmas decor enthusiasts, I imagine -- residents aren't allowed to put decorations up more than 60 days before a given holiday.
Is this an example of aesthetics Nazis run amok? Probably. But those outdated decorations are really annoying.
