Gov. Chris Christie has ordered all state buildings to fly flags at half staff Monday to honor the late actor James Gandolfini.

Gov. Chris Christie has ordered all state buildings to fly flags at half staff Monday to honor the late actor James Gandolfini.

Christie’s resolution says the New Jersey native, who died Wednesday while on vacation in Italy, was an “iconic actor, who left a timeless impact upon television and film in the State of New Jersey and across our Nation.”

Gandolfini, 51, was born in Westwood and grew up in the Bergen County borough of Park Ridge.
