Maybe we post too much about tourism on the 13th Floor, but it's just too darn interesting to ignore.

Illinois has introduced its first slogan aimed specifically at overseas tourists: "Simply Magnificent." As state slogans go, it's pretty unexciting, but at least it's not weird or lame.

The president of the ad agency that came up with the slogan says "Simply Magnificent" isn't hollow and meaningless. "It's an empty vessel, it's what we make of it," she says.

I guess the state is hoping it will make something of interest to foreign tourists.
