Phil Brinks, a former college football player, noted at the governor's "Healthy Hunter" event that hunting became more difficult for him after he hung up his cleats.
"When you're hunting in shape, you can walk farther, you can walk longer, you can walk through thick brush," Brinks told the Sioux Falls Argus Leader. "If you're winded, you're not mentally ready to shoot a bird."
