But I'm proud to be able to point you to one endorsement that did make a difference in the 2008 presidential race. Last week, Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson endorsed Joe Cimperman, a Cleveland City Councilman.
Jackson wasn't endorsing Cimperman for president. The mayor was supporting him for Ohio's 10th congressional district, currently represented by Dennis Kucinich.
Today, Kucinich dropped his presidential bid to tend to his reelection campaign for Congress. Maybe it's an exaggeration to say that Jackson's decision forced Kucinich to return home, but it certainly didn't hurt.
