Who's got the time to lose weight the old-fashioned way? Not New Hampshire State Sen. Bob Clegg. He had weight-loss surgery last September, and now he wants to make New Hampshire insurers pay for such procedures:

He has lost 105 pounds since bariatric surgery in September where his stomach was reduced to the size of a cup. He has dropped from a 62 portly suit size to a 50 long. He can walk without hauling hard to draw a breath.

Yesterday, the state Senate gave preliminary approval to his bill to require that New Hampshire insurers include bariatric surgery as an option in treating diseases and ailments caused by obesity.
