President Barack Obama is crossing South Dakota off his list.
The home of Mount Rushmore and the Badlands is the last state to get a presidential visit from Obama. He said in an interview with South Dakota television station KSFY-TV that he'll deliver the 2015 commencement address at a technical institute in Watertown next month.
Obama campaigned in the state as a candidate during the 2008 election, stopping at Mount Rushmore, which is celebrating the 75th anniversary of its completion next year.
The president has been crisscrossing the country since the start of this year to promote his economic policies, stopping in some of the Republican-leaning states that he hadn't visited during his first six years in office. Idaho, South Carolina and Utah have all hosted _ for the first time _ the president in recent months.
Obama got only 40 percent of the vote in South Dakota in the 2012 election, as Republican Mitt Romney easily carried the state.
Obama will be the fourth president to visit all 50 of the states while in office. Ronald Reagan was the first; George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton also did it.
