Tracking the 2018 Governors Race Results

There were 36 governors' races this year. Republicans had to defend 26 of them and Democrats nine. There was one independent governor -- Alaska's Bill Walker -- and he ended his reelection bid.

With one race still up in the air -- Georgia's -- Democrats flipped seven seats. For more on the gubernatorial results, click here.
