When you think of mayoral hiring scandals, you think of, say, a cushy administration job for a political donor. Or maybe a sweet building contract for the mayor's brother-in-law.

You might not immediately think of toll workers. But it turns out that Chicago Mayor Richard Daley may have used a little clout to hire toll workers on the Chicago Skyway who would make sure the mayor didn't get caught in traffic on his way to his summer home in Michigan.

(Note to mayors: Try to avoid scandals that involve the phrase "summer home." It doesn't look good for you.)
