Natwar M. Gandhi, PhD, was the independent Chief Financial Officer for the District of Columbia for thirteen years until leaving office in the fall of 2013. As CFO, he managed the District’s financial operations, worked closely with congressional committees that oversee District affairs, and interacted with the Wall Street financial community. Dr. Gandhi previously served as head of the District’s Office of Tax and Revenue and as Associate Director of Tax Policy and Administration for the US General Accounting Office.
