The Oregon Commission on Judicial Fitness and Disability announced that a state judge faces alleged conduct violations, including one over his refusal to perform gay weddings.
Marion County Judge Vance Day's alleged actions also include hanging a picture of Hitler in the Salem courthouse and taking money from lawyers "to sponsor veteran-related wall hangings in the courthouse hallways."
A formal complaint accuses Day of violating several judicial rules including one requiring a judge to act in a manner that preserves his "integrity, impartiality and independence," and one prohibiting "dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation."
The commission will hear evidence of the allegations against Day at a Nov. 9 hearing.
