The Best City Park Systems

Why are some city park systems better than others? It’s not just money (though it helps). Some cities spend less on parks per capita than others and have excellent parks. But factors such as purpose, access, user satisfaction, safety and assets can make the difference, according to the Trust for Public Land (TPL), which has been studying the issue for some time. We used data from TPL to make our own list of cities that have excellent park systems. (Photo: David Kidd)
