Controlling the Cost of Government

For a day and a half in September, state and local officials—along with key thought leaders from major institutions and the private sector—discussed, debated and weighed transformational ideas at the third annual Cost of Government Summit, hosted by Governing. While transforming how public officials control costs was the overarching theme at the Summit, so too was the need to communicate and connect with citizens in these transformational times.
