N.J. Town's Saggy Pants Ban Takes Effect

The rule prohibits anyone on the Wildwood boardwalk from wearing shorts, swimsuits, pants or skirts more than 3 inches below the waist. The measure also requires people to wear foot protection at all times and shirts between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.

A New Jersey beach town has yet to write a ticket for anyone violating its saggy pants ordinance, which took effect over the July Fourth holiday weekend.

The rule prohibits anyone on the Wildwood boardwalk from wearing shorts, swimsuits, pants or skirts more than 3 inches below the waist. The measure also requires people to wear foot protection at all times and shirts between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m..
