Garden State Forward, a Super PAC funded by the state's largest teachers union this week added an additional $850,000 to its television air time purchase bringing its total over the past two weeks to about $1.75 million and its overall total this season to nearly $7 million.

Outside money continues to pour into the state as election season enters its closing days.

Garden State Forward, a Super PAC funded by the state's largest teachers union this week added an additional $850,000 to its television air time purchase bringing its total over the past two weeks to about $1.75 million and its overall total this season to nearly $7 million.  Last week, the group spent $870,000 on air time for an ad scheduled to run until Friday.

That money is in addition to another $1.4 million fronted by the union's traditional PAC.

A spokesman for the New Jersey Education Association, which funds Garden State Forward, said the organization has a new ad ready to go that will run until Election Day.

Last week's ad highlighted Democratic candidate Barbara Buono's record on education.  It's unknown if the new ad will continue to highlight Buono's record to go after Gov. Chris Christie directly.
