The B&G Report is written and reported monthly by Katherine Barrett and Richard Greene (B&G). Married since 1982, Barrett and Greene are nationally known for their expertise in government management. They have had leadership roles in the Government Performance Project reports about states, cities and counties, write Governing's bi-monthly management column, are authors of Powering Up, a Governing Management Series book about information technology in the public sector, and have served on advisory panels for a number of groups including the Governmental Accounting Standards Board and the Urban Institute. They are consultants to the Pew Center on the States.
