The State of Oklahoma is seeking a Director of Financial Services for the Oklahoma Department of Human Services (OKDHS). OKDHS is responsible for Human Services Centers and other locations throughout Oklahoma's 77 counties, nine divisions in the central office and five institutions. OKDHS has more than 7,000 employees and an annual budget exceeding $2 billion in state and federal funding.
Under the general guidance of the Director of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, the Director of Financial Services plans, organizes, and directs the fiscal and administrative financial functions within the agency; responsible for budget formulation and preparation, accounting systems, and federal and state budgetary compliance; coordinates the development of the agency’s budget, directs the development and maintenance of financial control and reporting procedures. The Director of Financial Services is responsible for the developing, implementing, and administering policies and procedures for agency financial functions and ensures the coordination thereof and is responsible for all financial operations throughout the agency.
Prefer candidates with a current license as a CPA or thorough knowledge of GAAP or governmental cost accounting or funding streams. Master’s Degree in accounting, finance, business management, business or public administration and eight (8) years of professional level experience in fiscal management including four (4) years in an administrative capacity. OR Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, business management, business or public administration and nine (9) years of professional level experience in fiscal management including four (4) years in an administrative capacity. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. The salary range is $99,981 – 109,727.
